We are thrilled to announce that we will be sponsoring Crosby Stuart Girls from this season.
Starting next season, the JBT logo will prominently adorn the team's shirt sleeves; showing our support for girls football at the grassroots level, as well as promoting the work of the JBT to families in the community.
Jacob, as well as some of our trustees, played for Crosby Stuart as one of their first football teams at a very young age. Fast forward to today, and Jacob's sister now also plays for Crosby Stuart; on the girls team that didn't exist when Jacob played. This is testament to the forward thinking and welcoming reputation that Crosby Stuart holds in our community. Needless to say, Crosby Stuart is a football team that is very close to home for us at JBT and we are so pleased that we are able to support them.
Crosby Stuart's manager had the following to say....
Last season was our first season as a team and what an amazing year the girls had. They all put 110% effort in and came away with the below trophies,
1) Hightown Winter League Champions
2) LCFA Woman & Girls Champions
3) Hightown Spring League Champions
4) Rainford Ranger Girls Europa League Champions
The girls commitment, effort and determination has got them to where they are today. It’s an honour for myself and Craig to be able to coach them. We now move into our second season moving up to Under 9 which will bring new challengers to the girls with it being a bigger pitch and more players but they will pick it up in no time.
One of our players Ruby Billington sadly lost her brother three years ago and since his friends and family have set up an amazing charity in his name. We as a team couldn’t think of anything more fitting than to have the honour to have the JBT logo on our team shirt for all to see and raise the awareness of this amazing charity.
